I'm a 16 male, and a proud PIXAR fanboy (I loved Inside Out) but The Good Dinosaur just isn't as many of the others. The plot is very basic, Arlo gets lost and has to find his way home and encounters several other characters on the way, some good, some bad. The Good Dinosaur is a coming-of-age story, a tale of friendship between Arlo the Apatosaurus and his pet human, Spot the caveboy. While not a bad movie, many reviews say it's beautiful but 65 million years ago, a massive asteroid was sent hurtling toward Earth. However, it just missed the planet, thus averting the extinction of the dinosaurs. Another few million years later, two Apatosaurus farmers, Poppa Henry (Jeffrey Wright) and Momma Ida (Frances McDormand), are tending to their crops. Their bond is really special, and they learn so much from each other.
